Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2, 2026

Baeble ("we," "our," or "the app") is a Bible app for the next generation. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Baeble app and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Chat and live call content: When you use the AI chat or live voice call feature, the text and voice you send are processed to provide responses. You consent to this when you use those features (and, where required, via the in-app AI data processing notice).
  • Favorites and reading progress: Verses and passages you save or interact with are stored locally on your device and may be associated with your anonymous account for sync (if applicable).

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage and analytics: We use analytics (e.g. Firebase Analytics) to understand how the app is used (e.g. screens viewed, features used). This helps us improve the app and does not identify you by name.
  • Crash and performance data: We collect crash reports and performance data (e.g. via Firebase Crashlytics and Performance) to fix bugs and improve stability. This may include device type, OS version, and app version.
  • Device and app identifiers: We may use anonymous identifiers (e.g. Firebase Anonymous Auth) to provide a consistent experience and to apply remote configuration (e.g. feature flags, content) without storing personal data.

1.3 What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it (e.g. in feedback or support). Anonymous sign-in does not require or store email or password.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and improve the app (reading, verse of the day, search, favorites, themes, fonts).
  • To power AI features (chat and live call) by sending your input to our AI service providers under their respective privacy terms.
  • To deliver text-to-speech and other audio features.
  • To personalize content (e.g. verse of the day, language, locale) and to remotely enable or disable features.
  • To analyze usage and fix crashes and performance issues.

3. Third-Party Services

We use services that process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication (anonymous), Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging. Google's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • AI and voice: When you use AI chat or live voice call features, your text, voice, and audio data are sent to third-party AI service providers, including Google, OpenAI, xAI, ElevenLabs, and InWorld, for processing and generating responses. Their respective privacy policies apply to the handling of your data.
  • Text-to-speech: TTS may be provided by third-party providers (e.g. ElevenLabs, Google, or others). Check their policies for how voice and text are handled.

We select providers that commit to appropriate security and privacy practices, but we do not control their operations.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored on your device (e.g. favorites, settings) and, where applicable, on our or our providers' servers (e.g. analytics, crash reports).
  • We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Choices and Rights

  • AI features: You can decline the AI data processing notice; chat and live call will not process your data until you agree. You can stop using those features at any time.
  • Local data: You can clear app data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information.
  • Analytics: You may be able to limit ad tracking or analytics via your device settings; this can affect our ability to improve the app.
  • Rights: Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the app or at https://baeble.app/privacy and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
