1. Description of the Service

Baeble is a Bible application that provides:

• Reading of Bible content in multiple translations, including a "Gen Z" style version.
• Verse of the day, verse stories, and shareable content.
• SOAP Bible study (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) and related learning tools.
• Text-to-speech (TTS) for listening to passages.
• AI-powered chat and, when available, live voice call features for exploring the Bible.
• Stories and short-form content ("Teas"), favorites, search, and customization (themes, fonts, language).

Content and features may be updated, limited, or discontinued based on availability, licensing, or operational needs.

2. Eligibility and Account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• The App may use anonymous sign-in (e.g. no email or password). You are responsible for your device and any access to the App from it. We do not restore anonymous accounts if you uninstall or lose access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App and Services only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You will not:

• Use the App to harass, abuse, defame, or harm others, or to distribute illegal, offensive, or infringing content.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying data from the App or Services, except as allowed by applicable law.
• Use automated means (e.g. bots, scrapers) to access the App or Services without our permission.
• Circumvent or disable any security, access control, or usage limits we implement.
• Use the App in any way that could damage, overburden, or impair our or our providers' systems or networks.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

• Bible and other content: Scripture and other licensed content in the App are subject to their respective licenses and copyrights. You may use them for personal, non-commercial use in line with the App's functionality (e.g. reading, sharing, listening). Redistribution or commercial use may require separate permission from the rightsholders.
• Our materials: The App's design, branding, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or use them for other purposes without our written consent.
• User content: If you submit feedback, ideas, or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that content for improving the App and Services.

5. AI and Third-Party Features

• AI chat and live call: These features rely on third-party AI and voice services. Your use is also subject to those providers' terms and policies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or availability of AI-generated responses. Use your own judgment when relying on such content.
• Text-to-speech and other services: TTS and other features may be provided by third parties. Their terms and policies apply where relevant. We are not responsible for their performance or content.

6. Disclaimers

• The App and Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on content in the App, including AI-generated content or interpretations of Scripture. For faith and life decisions, use appropriate pastoral or professional guidance as you see fit.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, directors, employees, and providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, revenue, or profit) arising from your use of the App or Services.
• Our total liability for any claims related to the App or Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, zero).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://baeble.app/privacy and in the App settings. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to the Terms or Service

• We may change these Terms or the App and Services at any time. We will post updated Terms in the App or at https://baeble.app/terms and update the "Last updated" date.
• Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
• We may add, change, or discontinue features or content with or without notice, subject to applicable law.

11. General

• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
